Rent-a-bike Barcelona offers excellent options for renting a bike, offering different plans and packages depending on how many days you are looking to rent for. Rent-a-bike is located on Carrer de Perill, a short walking distance from the metro stop at Diagonal. At this shop, you can rent a bike for as little as 11€ a day for the first day and 9€ for each additional day. If you’re looking to do some mountain biking outside of Barcelona and take in some nature you can get your hands on a mountain bike for 20€. Included in the price of rental are locks to keep the bikes safe and more importantly, a helmet to keep you safe. You can make a reservation by phone, online, or directly in the shop.

Cruising Bikes

If you are vacationing in Barcelona and would like to get to know the city through the eyes of a local, then you should consider taking a bike tour by Cruising Bikes Barcelona. These tours are led by local Barcelona residents who will guide you by bike to the places that you want to see. There is no fixed route so you can tell the guide where you would like to go and they will show you the way, all the while explaining to you the history of the city. The most basic option costs 23€ for the bike rental, a bottle of water, and guide. Before the tour you can choose your own bike to make sure that you will be as comfortable as possible. You can find Cruising Barcelona on Carrer Santa Tecla.

Terra BikeTours is another company in Gràcia that offers bike tours, both in Barcelona and in the surrounding areas. These tours range from a half-day sightseeing ride to a 10-day trip on a mountain bike. There are a variety of tours that you can choose from if you want to go through Barcelona with a guide, otherwise, you can rent a bike from the shop and do your own thing. This store carries many models of bikes and the prices are different for each, but a typical road bike will cost you around 33€ a day. There are discounts if you plan on renting for more than one day. You can choose a road bike, mountain bike, or even an electric bike depending on the terrain you want to cover and where you plan on biking. Terra BikeTours is also located on Carrer Santa Tecla.

Bicing

Lastly, if you’re a resident of Barcelona or planning on staying long term, you should consider registering with Bicing to have access to Barcelona’s public bike rental service. You can register for this service online and you will receive a card which will give you access to the network and from there you can grab a bike from any of the checkpoints across the city. Membership costs €47.16 a year, and the first 30 minutes of each trip are free. From there, you will pay 74 cents for each additional half hour up to 2 hours. This is a very economical option in terms of public transportation, in addition to being healthy and fun.
