Have a hoedown in Barcelona and learn how to country dance

Country dancing has become quite a craze in Barcelona, with many clubs and studios offering the opportunity to practice this American dance style and appreciate the music that goes with it.

Break out your cowboy boots and join in – let’s go country dancing.  Yeehaw!

Amics Country de Barcelona has many activities taking place at different venues throughout the city. Every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. there are classes for beginners, and from 7 to 9 p.m. classes for intermediate and advanced dancers. All classes take place at Santa Agnès church near Plaça Molina’s Ferrocarril stop.

Amics Country Barcelona also takes part in various parties and festivals in which you can enjoy dancing and mingle with other fellow country fans.

One if the best parts about country dancing is that it is a great way to make new friends and socialize, especially if you are new to the city.

Seven Dance

Seven Dance Escola de Ball is a dance studio located in Gràcia, in which they offer various classes including modern line dancing. The instructors will teach you how to do the basic steps and start with simple routines, helping you to work your way up through the levels until you become a line dancing pro.

Seven Dance offers classes in the evenings from Monday to Sunday. Visit their website for the times of the classes and to learn about upcoming events.

Va de Country is a great website if you want to learn more about country dancing but don’t have the time to join a class. This website has videos to help you learns dozens of country dance moves and a list of all the upcoming dancing events in Barcelona so that you can meet up with other dancers and have a good time.

Va de Country has its own web radio station, so you can hear country classics any time of the day and even crank up the music to practice your dance moves.
