Best places to buy wine in Gràcia

Spain is the sunniest country in Europe and it is blessed with a pleasant climate all the year round. The agricultural industry here is thriving, and there is a great diversity of crops that provide yield. One part of it which is steadily growing is the wine trade.

There are many great vineyards all over Spain which produce lots of different wines. Eventually, the bottles find their way down into the cities, and into the wine bars and restaurants. But what if you want a bottle for yourself? What if you want a little something to take home? Well, there are also some great wine stores too. Here are our top 5 in Gràcia.

La Festival is located on Carrer de Verdi, close to the Lesseps metro station. It is a spacious, yet personal establishment, with a great choice of wines. They have bottles from both the Catalan region and further afield. They also stock the ‘organic and orgasmic’ brand, which is becoming very popular.

Antic Celler Gràcia

Antic Celler Gràcia is a liquor store, located on Carrer del Torrent d’En Vidalet. As well as stocking many spirits, they also have a good selection of wine. The owner is very knowledgeable, and he is quite happy to share his wisdom with you, recommending a variety of brands to your taste. There is also the option to buy in bulk, if you prefer. 

Manjares

Manjares is an Uruguayan butcher shop, located on Carrer del Torrent de l’Olla. They primarily sell excellent cuts of meat, but they also have a good little wine selection. Most of the bottles come from Uruguay and Argentina, but they also have some from Spain. Since they are experts in meat, they can advise you on which wine goes best with your meal.

Celler Can Dani

Celler Can Dani is located on Travessera de Gràcia, at the junction with Carrer Gran de Gracia. It is a wine shop with lots of choice – the place is stacked to the ceiling with bottles! They have a great selection of both Spanish and international wines, as well as many champagnes, all sold at very reasonable prices.

Bodega Bonavista

Bodega Bonavista is located on Carrer de Bonavista, close to Av. diagonal. This is another well-stocked shop, with plenty of varieties from all over the world. As well as having lots of wines they have a few other interesting drinks too,  such as Japanese whiskey and ales from the Catalan region.
