One dance studio in Barcelona that is completely dedicated to tap dancing is Escola Luthier de Dansa, teaching tap since 2011. Luthier was established as a music school in 1979. The tap program was developed by two awarded dancers and since then has flourished. The tap program runs for nine months and is aimed at students who already have the skills and drive to take their dancing to the professional level. Jimmy Slyde Institute

Jimmy Slyde was a very famous professional tap dancer back in the day and for that the Jimmy Slyde Institute in Barcelona is named after him. Camut Band was formed by a group of tap dancers in the mid 1990s and since then have been performing regularly in Barcelona. They offer workshops, classes, and intensives for all levels, so if you’re a beginner this is a good place to start.
