Despite the rise in digital music and streaming platforms, vinyl is more popular than ever as music lovers strive to get that authentic sound. A great record store doesn’t just offer a large record collection but also expert staff with a passion for music.

For music lovers in Barcelona, you can be treated to an awesome live music scene with countless music venues as well as massive international festivals. But if you’re after adding that rare edition or the latest 7 inch from your favourite band, where are the best record stores in Barcelona?

1. Revolver Records

One of the first independent record stores to open in Barcelona, Revolver Records supplies the best of virtually every genre you could wish for. As well as packing in as much vinyl as possible to this record store in El Raval, it also somehow manages to fit in CDs and all that essential merchandise.

2. Dead Moon Records

Dead Moon Records is an authentic record store where you can find more obscure vinyl treasures. Known for its friendly and helpful staff, the store specialises in vinyl and cassette tapes, with music mainly from the 70’s up to the present day.

3. Disco 100

Started in 1978, Disco 100 is a family business and by far the biggest record store in Barcelona with well over 100,000 items and counting, including vinyl, CDs and DVDs. Their collection has grown so much that it had to add several extensions, before eventually moving to their current store in Gràcia.

4. Discos Paradiso

One of the newest record stores that have opened up in Barcelona, Discos Paradiso focuses mainly on electro and new music. They also have exhibitions and various events including El Mostrador, where they have a DJ set every Tuesday.

5. Wah Wah Records

Wah Wah Records is the store if you’re after electro or dance music. The store has a wide selection in these genres and specializes in the more bizarre and obscure styles. It even has records dating back to the 1900’s! The record store is split into two sections, the Classic section at the front and the back area dedicated to Electronic and Dance music.
