Torre Agbar

Torre Agbar is a large skyscraper designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, officially opening its doors in 2005. The tower is the headquarters of the Agbar Group, a holding company whose interests include Aigües de Barcelona, the local water company.

The Agbar Tower lights up at night, displaying blue, red and purple colors.

Torre Agbar is located at Avinguda Diagonal, 211.

Glòries

Glòries is a shopping mall composed by three large buildings and two open-air plazas, offering a combination of entertainment services, stores, and restaurants. At Glòries visitors can find stores like H&M, The Body Shop, and La Mallorquina; and restaurants and cafés like Burger King, Viena, Cañas y Tapas, and Shokolatt.

Glòries is located at Avinguda Diagonal, 208.

Razzmatazz

Razzmatazz is the most famous nightclub in Barcelona. With more than 10 years of existence, the club has received bands like Coldplay, Belle and Sebastien, Smashing Pumpkins and The Strokes. The club is divided into five different rooms: Razzclub, The Loft, Lolita, Pop Bar and Rex Room, each one dedicated to a certain style of music.

Universitat Pompeu Fabra

One of the newest universities in Spain, Universitat Pompeu Fabra was founded in 1990, inspired by the principles of justice, equality, freedom, democracy, independence and plurality. The university was named after a Catalan philologist by the name of Pompeu Fabra. UPF is considered to be one of the best 200 universities in the world, according to Times Higher Education.

Universitat Pompeu Fabra is located at Plaça de la Mercè, 10-12.

Museu del Disseny de Barcelona

Barcelona’s Design Museum was created with the goal of gathering all of Barcelona’s design collections. Today, visitors can observe pieces that used to be in four different museums, that are divided into four new sections: Decorative Arts, Textile and Garments, Graphic Arts Museum and Vivenda 1/1 de la Casa Bloc. Museu del Disseny de Barcelona used to be located in a different part of town but moved to El Parc i la Llacuna de Poblenou in 2014, to a building designed by MBM Arquitects.
