In 2008 the Matinée Group, a promoter from Barcelona, created a new music festival concept that forever changed the appearance of this type of events.
The best international parties, promoters and artists came together in the Catalan capital to celebrate in a new and innovative way, by visiting nightclubs and spending their leisure time and holidays together. The summer festival has now turned the city of Barcelona into the international gay capital.
And this is how Circuit Festival once started, as an event with the objective to display the best music of that moment, an event where you can meet friends and new people from all over the world, an event that celebrates every different way of living and loving, an event to discover the city of Barcelona, its excellent recreational and cultural activities and some of the best beaches on the Catalan coast.

Circuit Festival is not only about partying, but also about leisure and culture, and that is why the Circuit Festival organization has prepared a full programme that includes, among many other activities, art exhibitions, talks, workshops, cultural routes, a series of films and sports competitions.
An important part of the event is the Water Park Day at Circuit Festival, one of the most anticipated events by the LGTBI community. It is the biggest, European daytime party for gays and lesbians.
The special location for this event is the Illa Fantasía water park, in the town of Maresme Vilassar de Dalt, more specifically at Finca Mas Brassó (no house number) in Vilassar de Dalt, in the province of Barcelona. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. soft music will fill the loudspeakers, enabling you to relax and fully enjoy the water park. Then at 2 p.m. the volume rises, and this is when the party at the wave pool begins.
At 10 p.m. the water area closes, and the party moves to l’Illa Fantasía’s club venue, where they open the doors to celebrate the festival’s “Water Park Night Edition“.
You can buy day tickets or night tickets, and there is also a special pass, that gives you access to both. The capacity of the night party is limited however, so if you want night tickets, you should buy them well in advance.
