Sonar is an important music event in Barcelona, and it has also become one of the most representative European electronic music events. Sonar is an electronic and experimental music festival, and it has been taking place in the Catalan capital since 1994. The 2018 edition attracted as many as 126,000 electronic music lovers from 119 countries, and after the festival the organization released this year’s dates: 18, 19 and 20 July. It will be the 26th edition of the festival, and it is one of the most important festivals in Barcelona. Sonar festival Barcelona is divided into two parts: Sónar de Día (Sonar by Day), which takes place at the Fira Montjuic (Avinguda Rius i Taulet, without number) and Sónar de Noche (Sonar by Night), at the Fira Gran Via (Avinguda Joan Carles I, without number) in the nearby L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. This year’s day programme consists of the following artists: On Thursday 18 July you can see performances by: Afrodeutsche, Aleesha, Anger, Arca, Berlinist Presents Gris Game Live, Catnapp, Cosmic d’Alessandro, Daito Manabe + Kamitani Lab: Dissonant Imaginary, Daphni, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Desert, DJ Lag, Faka, Fennesz, J. Colleran, Leon Vynehall, Lotic: Endless Power, Milan W., Nistra, Obongjayar, Ouchhh + Za!: Superstrings, Petite Noir, Rejjie Snow, Ross From Friends, Sevdaliza – The Great Hope Design, Shiva Feshareki, Slikback, Snakehips, Titi Calor, Vōx and 700 Bliss.
