Casa Asia
Casa Asia was founded in 2001 with the aim of increasing awareness, knowledge and dialogue about Asia in Spain and Barcelona. It focuses on different areas including, political, social, cultural, economic and environmental issues. The organisation is a space for communication and information on this major region in the world. In order to do this, Casa Asia hosts many different events and projects to develop a greater discussion and awareness of all things Asian.
For those of you looking to learn in depth about Asian culture, Casa Asia also offers different courses including learning Asian languages such as Japanese, Thai and Sanskrit, as well as courses in mindfulness and well-being.

Asia Festival
Casa Asia has organised the Asia Festival every year since 2002 and usually takes place in September as part of the Merce Festival. The Asia Festival has a wide range of events and shows which are on offer for both Barcelona residents and tourists to enjoy. It was started in order to showcase Asian culture in Catalonia alongside the Asian communities in Barcelona and Spain. It is the only festival of its kind that is held in Europe on a regular basis, and is increasing in popularity year on year. Some of its events include music, dance, martial arts, theatre, workshops and food tastings, among others. It is a great, fun festival for families and young people which brings Asian culture to the city of Barcelona.
