Located on Carrer de Sant Antoni Abat, 87, Sésamo is a restaurant with many vegetarian dishes on offer. Don’t be put off by the perhaps outdated decor at the entrance: once you are inside and sat at your table that’s when the experience begins. There is a “tasting” menu, which features 7 different foods, if you want to try a bit of everything, or you can order single dishes, such as gnocchi filled with gorgonzola in a beetroot and hazelnut sauce, or ravioli filled with mushrooms with thyme sauce to name but two. The chef, Alfredo, has many unique and personal dishes to offer, all of which he’ll personally deliver to you. And it doesn’t end there! Once you’ve finished your main meal then there are the sumptuous desserts to choose from, selections such as: pumpkin pie with cardamom cream, or Avocado mousse. There are also some meat dishes to choose from if perhaps not all of your group are vegetarian. This place is an all-rounder, and sure to satisfy.
Located on Carrer de Pintor Fortuny, 32, L’hortet is a vegetarian restaurant where you can get your fill of great tasting food without breaking the bank. Lunch is on offer for under 10€, in which you get a full salad bar, a choice of three mains, and a delicious dessert. They also have a great selection of evening meals as well. The place has an ambient and welcoming decor and, once you’re in, you’ll soon be feeling at home. And it is not far from the hustle and bustle of La Rambla, so once you’re finished there, why not continue your night?

Biocenter is located on Carrer del Pintor Fortuny, 25. It is more of a local restaurant, so if you’re looking for a more authentic Barcelona experience, this is a place to try. They too have the lunch for under 10€ offer, with the addition of soup as a starter, although they don’t have the same choice of mains. In the evening, the place comes to life. They have a variety of dishes to serve, such as lentil burger with homemade yucca chips or seitan with rice. And it’s usually very busy, but well worth waiting to get a table.
Located on Carrer de Jovellanos, 2, Teresa Carles is just a stone’s throw from La Rambla. There is a strong focus on providing healthy meals here, as well as tasty ones. The place has deep roots in Catalan cuisine and serves a variety of dishes. There are many vegan options, as well as vegetarian ones, and also seafood dishes for any pescatarians. They have a wide range of delicious desserts and also a great selection of drinks. They’re even open in the morning for fresh juices. This place really has everything you need and never will anyone leave unsatisfied.
