If there is a great city to celebrate your birthday at, that city is Barcelona! There is always some exciting event taking place, new experiences to take part in, and great places to have meals. Here are our suggestions of cool ways to spend a birthday with friends in Barcelona

One of the six establishments owned by Cup & Cake, called Brunchelona, is a hip restaurant/café that offers some of the same dishes and desserts that are offered by Cup & Cake and Brunch & Cake. Brunchelona’s modern decoration and large rooms make it a perfect place to have a birthday meal with a large group and enjoy some of the most creative and colorful dishes in the city. Brunchelona is located in Avinguda Diagonal, 557, inside L’Illa Diagonal Mall.

Pointing guns at each other

Play Point is an entertainment center and the perfect location for a birthday celebration for those who enjoy action and adventure games. At Play Point you can choose between playing a couple of rounds of paintball or laser tag, a variation of paintball that is played in the dark, with laser guns, and that was made famous by the character Barney Stinson on the hit TV series “How I met your mother”. Play Point is located at Carrer de Comte Borel, 88.

Walking on air

If you would like to spend your birthday high up, then head off to Sant Martí, where you will find Bosc Urbà, an adventure park located in the middle of the city. Spend a couple of hours away from the ground, hanging from zip lines, climbing up nets and stepping on suspension bridges with your friends and enjoying your special day. You can find Bosc Urbà at Parc del Forum.

Barcelona is an excellent location for a day of boating. The city has such a wonderful weather, peaceful sea and beautiful coast that it is no wonder that boat rentals are among the top touristic activities in the city. Check out the boats available at companies like Azul Sailing (Escollera del Poble Nou, Local 5), BoatBureau (Carrer de Casp, 162), or Charter & Dreams (Passeig de Joan Borbó, 80-84) to find the best deal.

Joining heads

Escape Games are a type of physical adventure game in which the participants are locked inside a room, having to use the elements they find in that room to solve mysteries and puzzles to be able to get out. Also known as Room Escape, this sort of entertainment can have a number of different themes and can usually be played in English or Spanish in Barcelona. Try Enigmik Escape Room (Carrer de Rosselló, 508), Escape Barcelona (Paseo Valldura, 158), or Chicken Banana Room Escape (Carrer de Rocafort, 12).

With a beer in your hand

Bond with the guys over beers on your birthday by taking a beer-making class together. Try Cursos de Especialización en Cerveza Artesana y Microcervecerias, who often offers workshops and also some online training.

A great place for an all-girls birthday party is a dance studio, where the birthday girl and her guests can try a fun new class together. Be daring and try something unique like pole dancing at Pole Dance BCN or Pole Dance Factory or go for the ceiling at an aerial dancing class at Xperimenta Espacio or On Air Dansa Aèria.

On wheels

Located in Les Franqueses del Vallès, less than an hour away from Barcelona, Green Indoor Park offers a number of activities to keep both adults and young ones entertained. This large venue has over ten thousand square meters, divided into three distinct areas: Freestyle CityMotor Zone, and the Children’s Park. There is an area for skating, a BMX circuit, an area for rollerblading, and even an area where you can ride motorized vehicles like quads, mini-bikes, and vipers.

Jumping up and down

If you like jumping, you will love Salting Barcelona, an indoor trampoline park where you can spend an extremely fun afternoon with friends celebrating your birthday. The park is open every day of the week and prices start 3,50€ per person for 15 minutes. Salting Barcelona is located at Carrer del Perú, 162.
