With more than 40 years of existence, Barcelona’s Wax Museum is the home of more than 200 wax figures representing political and historical figures, famous people and fictitious characters.
Visitors can opt for the standard visit or a guided visit, which happens every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 12:00 pm and at 5 pm.
Another option is to go to the museum at night. There are dramatized visits on Saturdays at 8 pm during the month of June and 9 pm during the months of July, August and September. The nocturnal visits, which are full of surprises, cost 19€ per person.
The price of the standard ticket is 15€ or 9€ for children 5 to 11 years old, retirees and people with Carnet Jove. There is also the choice of buying an all-inclusive ticket with which you can visit the museum with an audioguide, a guidebook, get a photo souvenir and a 10% discount at Bosc de les Fades and Passatge del Temps.
The museum operates under the following schedule:
Mondays to Fridays – 10 am to 1.30 pm and 4 pm to 7.30 pm
Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays – 11 am to 2 pm and 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Summer – open all day, from 10 am to 11 pm.
A note about visiting the museum with children: among the many spaces in the museum there is a hall of terror, an area featuring several people being hanged, tortured, decapitated, etc. Take a look at some of the pictures online before deciding if this visit is suitable for your children.
