Cities are growing every year, and many taller buildings in each city are designed as apartment buildings to become our home. Barcelona is no exception, and although there are some areas with apartment towers or detached houses in the Catalan capital, this is not usual. For this reason, buildings need to have an elevator, especially for loading heavy items, such as when grocerie shopping or moving in or out of the apartment, but also for the convenience of not having to climb many floors. As we have said in other occasions, an apartment with a terrace can be an excellent option when renting a house in the Ciudad Condal, largely thanks to the splendid weather of the Catalan capital. For this reason, many people who decide to rent an apartment in higher constructions, which also provides better views and more daylight, focus on their most important condition of having an elevator. You must bear in mind, that in some cases top floor apartments are on the fourth or fifth floor (at least) of a building, so having an elevator can substantially improve life. While it is true that it is good for your health to climb stairs daily, loaded with shopping bags, strollers or children, it can be very annoying when having to climb several floors.
