The Collserola mountain range and natural park is located about nine kilometres north of Barcelona, and it is the perfect getaway spot for hiking, horseback riding, family outings and picnics.

Serra de Collesrola is the largest natural park in the city. The park is quite popular among runners, mountain walkers, bikers and even photographers.

The park is drawn like a maze that leads you to different paths and sights. Depending on the paths of your choice, you could stumble upon farmhouses, Vallvidrera MarshCan Borrel, or the locally well-known Font Groga. There are quite a few restaurants to stumble upon as you tread those paths as well.

Whatever the path may be that you take, you’re bound to be pleasantly surprised. If you’re not into hiking, you may miss out on an experience of a lifetime. You will never get a more interesting view of Barcelona than the view on Collserola. Not only will you see the long and old-fashioned streets of the city, but you’ll also see Mediterranean sea.
