The Boqueria market is truly a sight to behold. It is one of the city’s oldest markets and certainly the one with the most personality. To step into the Boqueria is to step into a world of color and smells and discover some of the best food products the city has to offer.

This is a great place to eat at if you are visiting La Boqueria. In business since 1987, El Quim de la Boqueria quickly became one of the most popular places to grab a bite in the area, offering such delicious dishes as Gorgonzola and Foie gras cream, bull’s tail risotto, artisan croquettes, red tuna with a sesame and soy reduction, and sausage with beans with aioli.

El Quim de la Boqueria is open Mondays from 12 pm to 4 pm, Tuesdays to Thursdays from 7 am to 4 pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 7 am to 5 pm.

Paella Bar Boqueria

Another great place to eat in the market is Paella Bar Boqueria. As the name indicates, the restaurant specializes in the making of this very traditional Spanish dish. They also serve other types of food like fried squid rings, croquettes, shrimp and more.

Pick a stool and enjoy such dishes as tortilla, tripe, beef stew, or cockles.

Pinoxto Bar is open from Monday to Saturday from 6:30 am to 4 pm.

Bar Lobo is a famous bar located in the neighborhood of Raval, which serves tapas, meals, breaksfasts, and drinks. You will get to see the cooks preparing your food in massive woks, on the spot, which is always entertaining. You can either sit and eat or ask for your food to go.

CentOnze Restaurant

CentOnze is a fancy restaurant located only a couple of minutes away from the Boqueria Market. They serve Mediterranean food that is exquisitely prepared, such as prawn and mango ceviche, tomato risotto with three textures, and grilled halal chicken breast with basmati rice and nut oil. And those are just the appetizers! They also serve delicious starters like a crayfish and green asparagus ravioli, meat dishes such as the Angus entrecote, fish dishes like tuna tataki and, of course, mouthwatering desserts like the creamy praline and milk chocolate, and the cheesecake with Oreo cookie.
