Have you been taking care of your adrenaline levels? If you’re watching pool and darts on TV, stop, just stop. Get off the couch and meet us at Parc del Forum in Barcelona, where the VII edition of imaginExtreme will take place this June on the weekend of 18 and 19. With competitions featuring the world’s best riders of BMX, scooter, skateboarding, inline and longboard, this action sports and urban lifestyle festival is promising to bring its exciting high-energy to the capital of Catalonia.
Competitions – Each sport will be featured in 3 different tournaments – one for men, one for women and also the Open category, which is for… you, maybe! Do you have what it takes? If you want to put your skills to the test, sign up for this competition and show what you can do. It costs 20€ to entry and grants you access to the entire event, plus some other perks.
Urban Style – This will be an area dedicated to the trendiest urban music. It will feature a graffiti wall, street dance shows and street food stands.
Extreme Market – A large commercial space with over 40 tents dedicated to extreme and action sports gear and merchandise, where you can find all the coolest new trends.
Open Park – This is the place where you can bring your skate, scooter, BMX or rollerblades and just have fun practicing your tricks and flips. Maybe buy some safety gear first on the Extreme Market?
Kids and Family – An area full of games, little parks and fun activities for the extreme riders of the future.
Demos and Shows – Demos and exhibitions of streetboard, hip-hop and roller dancing, as well as other urban-themed shows.
Sunset Party – To celebrate the finals of the sports competitions, imaginExtreme will host the “Sunset Extreme Party”, with the best electronic music serving as the soundtrack to the most exciting action. Hosted by DJs Viktor Ollé and BeGun, it’s sure to end the weekend on a high-energy note.
Tickets – You can buy your tickets for imaginExtreme online with a discount at the event’s official website, if you do it before June 17. Prices start at 10€ for adults and 5€ for kids under 12.
How to get there – Located at the waterfront in the north of Barcelona, Parc del Forum is easily accessible by public transport. Here’s a quick little guide for you:
Metro – L4 (yellow line). Exit at the Maresme-Forum station.
Tram – L4. Exit at the Forum stop.
Bus – 43, H16 (Forum), 7, 36, 99, tourist bus (green route, operates from 15/04 to 25/09), B23.
