In Regina Spektor´s song, “Folding Chair”, she sang: Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh… and that´s exactly how my butt cheeks feel when sitting down on a comfortable, relaxing leather chair, with legs propped up on an ottoman.
That was what I experienced when I was at Minim Store.
(Via Augusta, local 185)
The store is a gem and a visual candy shop for modern aesthetic furniture. Not only is it a place to sit and relax, but is a great place to get inspired in terms of interior design. The only downside is that the prices end with so many zeros that you won’t know whether you are buying a piece of furniture or giving out the first down payment for a car.
(L´Hospitalet de Llobregat and Badalona)
After filling my stomach with their plates of Swedish meatballs, cinnamon buns and Lingonberry drink, it was time for my siesta. With their full selections of EKTORP , TULLISTA and POANG chairs, I had plenty to choose from. The furniture they offer is utilitarian, it screams IKEA. If you don’t want your furniture to look like it just came out of the big box store, perhaps IKEA hacks will set them apart. You get that bit of customization with your own personal stamp. Try www.ikeahackers.net for ideas and inspiration.

Do you want something different or one of a kind? Perhaps you are a handy DIY-er who likes to strip, sand, stain, paint or reupholster? Try going to Mercat del Encants. There, you will find a lot of vintage pieces, reproductions, and antiques.
With its mirrored reflective roof, this market is hard to miss. With nearly three stories and countless stalls, you will hopefully be able to find a chair to fit your flat. Most items are second hand, but depending on the merchant, they may have new stock. You really need to scout this place out since inventory constantly changes. Depending on the seller, you can ever try to negotiate for a good price. If the item is still there at the end of the day, see if they can lower the price. Come early, roll up your sleeves and get into the spirit!
