What are the best residential areas in Barcelona?

This question is not easy to answer, as there are different types of tenants that prefer different aspects in their living zone. It depends on your interests. For example, if you are moving to the city for work, you might want to live close to the office, so you will spend less time (and money) on public transport. In general, most offices are located in Eixample and Ciutat Vella.

The location of their university could be more important for students when they choose the location of their apartment. In general Sants and Les Corts are favourite student districts. Then there is also Gràcia, but this is a favourite mainly because of its nightlife and atmosphere.

If, however, you are moving to Barcelona with your family, then you would probably want to be close to schools and daycare. Fortunately, you will find plenty of schools throughout the entire city, but if you prefer private schools, you will find the best ones in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi and Les Corts.
