Spend a day with your pet in Sants

Written by Eric

Having dog barcelonapet is a great and pleasant responsibility. In order to keep our furry friends happy and healthy, we should invest in quality pet food, take them to the vet for check-ups, play with them, and take them out for frequent walks.

If you have a dog, try to keep in mind that, although domesticated, it probably feels more natural outside than inside.

Here are some great places to take your four-legged friend for a nice, pleasurable walk in Sants.

Parc de la Primavera

(Carrer Nou de la Rambla, 203)

This park offers the gentle concrete slopes for your dog to walk around in.

Jardins Hortes de Sant Bertran

(Carrer Vila i Vila, 2)

This garden has sanded and shaded areas for your dogs to play in.

Pl. la Farga

(Pl. Farga, 1)

Heading over to the L´Hospitalet de Llobregat side, we encounter this Plaça, with its own dog area. Along with its open space, there is an agility course.

Jardins Valent Petit

(Pl Ildefons Cerdà,1)

This garden contains a grassy patch that is especially good for running.

Jardins de Màlaga (Robrenyo)

(C Robrenyo, 126)

A garden with sanded and shaded areas for your dogs to play in.

Parc Font Florida

(G.V. Corts Catalanes,196)

Larger Sandy area, grassy areas, benches, and trees are what you will find here.

Parc Espanya Industrial

(C Muntadas 1)

This place is a hodgepodge of industrial elements, sculpture, water features, cement walkways as well as grassy patches.

After the walk

Dog friendly barcelonaAfter letting your pup run wild, why not take it for a nice pampering session?  Stop by L’Arca pet store  (C/ Olzinelles, 102) where you can have you dog washed and groomed .  While waiting, why not stock up on some of their favorite treats, or maybe a chew toy?

Finally, once Fido is clean and fluffy and ready to go, stop for your own treat at Fo Bar (Plaça Osca, 12), where you can have a nice, refreshing drink with your dog resting by our feet.
