Top 5 Bars in Les Corts

Written by Brian S

Located in the western part of Barcelona, Les Corts is a district and neighborhood that unfortunately doesn’t get a lot of attention because it’s the least populated place in the city. But if you have the chance to visit the neighborhood, you’ll find that it has its fair share of great local bars and restaurants. While bars in the area are a bit off the beaten track, they have just as much livelihood as the bars in the center of the city. If you’d like to discover the neighborhood a bit more for yourself, here are five of the best bars in Les Corts.

Lunatic is a bar that fits its name with live standup performances and music that bargoers love. Entrance is free with the stipulation that you must pay at least eight Euros for something; we suggest trying a fancy cocktail. It has a cozy atmostphere with chairs and couches and defines typical Barcelona nightlife as it opens from 10:00 PM to 2:30 AM every Monday through Saturday. They have a full bar, so you can get anything from beer to shots or a cocktail. However, it’s recommended to make a reservation with a group because it fills up fast, especially on the weekends.

El Tap gets its name from the fact that it specializes in beer on tap, so it’s one of the best bars in the area for beer lovers. They have plenty of beers to choose from, especially IPAs, and accompany them with several tapas and sandwiches to order. It’s closed on Mondays, but opens at noon during the rest of the week and closes at 5 PM on Sunday, Midnight on Tuesday through Thursday, and 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Overall, the place is casual, has a terrace for outdoor seating, and offers free wi-fi.

Kahala Tiki Bar

As its name suggests, there is a tropical, Hawaiian-slanted theme to Kahala Tiki Bar, taking visitors temporarily out of the urban atmosphere and onto a Hawaiian beach for the night. Their bar menu is full of mixed drinks made with tropical-flavored tequila, rum, vodka, and other beachy beverages. They also have an outside patio, pool table, and free snacks to go alongside the flavorful drinks. Kahala Tiki Bar is open every day of the week from 7 PM to 3 AM but can get quite full at times as it’s so trendy.
