Best places to have an açaí bowl in Barcelona

Written by Paula

Who among us hasn’t already heard about a miraculous little fruit by the name of açaí? Consuming this power-berry started becoming trendy a couple of years ago when the market decided to start making profits from the little fruit’s amazing benefits. Native to Brazil and Trinidad, the açaí berry is said to help improve the immune system, boost energy and even improve mental function. Açaí is usually served mixed with honey and guaraná and with fruits like banana and strawberries, accompanied by some granola.

So where can you find the best açaí bowls in Barcelona? Here are our recommendations.

They serve a great açaí bowl that can replace a meal for the moderate price of 5€. They are open every day of the week from 10 am to 6 pm.

One of the many dishes served at Trópico is an açaí bowl that comes with some fruits to be mixed in. The restaurant is open every day of the week from 10 am t0 12 am, except on Fridays and Saturdays, when it closes at 2 am.

Casa do Açaí was one of the pioneers in açaí distribution in Barcelona. You can buy açaí ice cream directly from their website, which comes in three different sizes: 120g, 900g, and 3,6 kg. At their location in Eixample, they serve expertly prepared açaí bowls that can be enjoyed from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm.

Green & Berry

Also located in the district of Eixample, Green & Berry serves great vegan food, shakes, toasts, sandwiches and, of course, açaí bowls. Choosing only one dish at this venue can cause quite a dilemma since most of the food on the menu would make anyone’s mouth water. Go for a taste of green any day of the week between 8 am and 10:30 pm.

Location: Carrer d’Enric Granados, 153
