Summer In Barcelona always promises good things – it means that the days are longer, the weather is warmer than ever, and you can stay out socializing into the early hours of the morning. For enthusiastic shoppers, summer also means one of Spain´s biggest sales events of the year, which lasts from the first of July until the end of August. Summer rebajas are here!

The best time to take advantage of these sales is in the first three weeks of July, as there are still a considerable amount of sales items left at this time. Some of the stores actually begin their sales on the 28th or 29th of June, so be sure to go early to get the best deals! If you haven’t gone yet, you’ve still got time to take advantage of deals on lots of clothing, home goods and more. Both Spanish and international clothing stores in Barcelona have sales, some of which offer discounts up to 50 percent, such as Zara, Bershka, Desigual, H&M, Mango, Stradivarius, and Springfield. If you´re looking for more besides just clothes, the Corte Inglés and Zara Home also offer sales with discounts of up to 50 percent.
Most regular store hours are from 9:30am to 1pm/2:00pm, and from 4:00/4:30pm to 8:30pm. We suggest going earlier in the day to beat crazy lines and stores filled to the brim with customers eager to take advantage of Barcelona´s renowned shopping scene.

Barcelona´s shopping scene
Throughout the year,
Barcelona boasts an impressive array of shopping options, from the high-end stores on Passeig de Gràcia to Maremagnum shopping center. Many of the best areas are all connected by the Barcelona shopping line, which extends 5 kilometers and connects Diagonal, Eixample, Casca Antigua and el Born. Some of the major streets for shopping are along Passeig de Gràcia, Las Ramblas and Port d´Angel.
