Knowing first aid can be a useful skill in any environment. Whether at home, on the street, or in the workplace, accidents can always happen and being prepared can prevent the situation from getting even worse. If you’re interested in getting a formal training in first aid, here are some of the top centers in Barcelona offering first aid training courses on a regular basis.

EFR Training

EFR Training offers several courses in first aid, CPR, and AED at their center in the Sant Antoni neighborhood. Courses are offered in both Spanish and English and cover a variety of subjects to prepare you for all types of accidents and emergencies.

Their First Aid at Work course takes three days to complete and includes training on dealing with cuts, eye injuries, strains and sprains, poisoning, head injuries, heart attacks, asthma, seizures, diabetic problems, and more. You’ll even learn how to give CPR and assess the scene of an accident in order to keep yourself safe. Course fees include the full training with a certified instructor, a participant manual, a certificate valid for three years, and all training materials used in the course. They also offer a workplace first aid course for those who work in high-risk environments and a pediatric first aid course which is often required for those who work with children.

Escola Port Barcelona offers a variety of maritime professional training, including first aid certification training. In addition to the basics of first aid taught in a standard training course, the school specializes in teaching maritime first aid and what to do in special circumstances aboard a boat out at sea. The course last twenty-two hours in total with eleven hours of theoretical and practical content each. It’s certified in Spain by the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy and in the UK by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
