If you have come to Barcelona for a shopping spree due to its world famous fashion scene, it’s more than likely that you will be visiting Passeig de Gracia. Whether or not you are staying in Example itself – with all its shopsbars and restaurants –, Passeig de Gracia really is the place to go to experience the modern Barcelona. When you finally get tired of shopping, you might want to try out one of the best restaurants in Passeig de Gracia .

Moments

Moments is a traditional Catalan restaurant with a modern spin. It is situated in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and has been awarded two Michelin stars. Obviously, this does make it quite expensive, but for a special treat or a meal with a client, this really is the place to go in Passeig de Gracia.

Address: Passeig de Gràcia, 38

La Pepita

Slightly further north lies the tapas bar, La Pepita. Not only is it one of the best places for tapas in Passeig de Gracia, but in fact in the entire city. The drinks to go along with your dinner are simply fantastic, and in particular, they have a wide range of gin for those gin and tonic lovers. All the food is locally produced and it doesn’t matter if you’re trying the jamón or the croquettas, you will end up wanting more. The restaurant is quite small as it is designed to feel like a traditional tapas bar – so make sure to book in advance or face the queues at popular times.

Address: Carrer de Còrsega, 343

Da Greco

For those hankering for the perfect Italian meal with a lively Italian atmosphere, De Greco is the place to go. The risotto made in a wheel of parmesan is a favourite. Da Greco offers all your Italian classics from pasta and pizza to meats and desserts. A lovely place to unwind and relax after a busy day of shopping.

Address: Carrer de Santa Teresa, 10

L’Eggs

L’Eggs is the most casual restaurant on this list, but still serves rather exquisite cuisine. If you want a burger sitting in a beautiful courtyard in the cool Barcelona summer evening, this is truly the place to go. L’Eggs prides itself in its excellent fusion dishes, very different from the ones you will find in any other restaurant in the city. It also has an extensive bar and wine list for a drink or two, to make those shopping bags feel slightly less heavy.

Address: Passeig de Gràcia, 116
