One third of the way down Las Ramblas lies the bistro restaurant El Regulator, which is attached to the Bagues Hotel. Its extensive drinks menu can compete with any of the bars in the area. Although high-end in price, this restaurant is absolutely well worth the visit. From risottos to ceviches and even gourmet burgers, this restaurant has all you could want for a fancy date night or to impress a new client.

Address: La Rambla, 105

For tapas

Guell Tapas lies 50 meters off Las Ramblas, located on Carrer Nou de la Rambla. If you are in the area and you have a hankering for traditional tapas, this is the place to go. This suave little restaurant fills up quick, so it is best to book in advance. From the patatas bravas to the croquettes to the paellas and sangrias, Guell Tapas will offer you a delicious and traditional experience.

Address: Carrer Nou de la Rambla, 20

For a taste of Italy

Down by the Colombus statue, at the very end of Las Ramblas is the Italian restaurant Il Mercante Di Venezia. Trust us when we say, this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the entire city. With a truly great wine list and perfectly prepared dishes, this restaurant will leave you with a lot to rave about on Tripadvisor or Yelp.

Address: Carrer de Josep Anselm Clavé, 11

If what you feel like is having a burger, Bacoa is the place for you. This casual restaurant is half way down Las Ramblas and to the left, right past McDonald’s and KFC. Offering a wide range of locally produced burgers with all different kinds of toppings and sides, this a hamburger heaven right in the center of Barcelona.

Address: Carrer de Ferran, 10, 08002 Barcelona.

For a meal after a night of clubbing

When you have spent a night dancing your ass off, you are probably not going to want to sit down to have a proper fork and knife kind of meal. The traditional foods that are sought out after partying are usually more of the portable kind. Las Ramblas is full of fast food chains such as Burger King, KFC and McDonalds’ which are open well into the early hours. But if you want something other than American food, head up in the direction of Plaça Catalunya, where will find Aromas de Istanbul for kebabs and Udon for some noodles.

  • Il Mercante di Venezia is one of the best restaurants in Barcelona I’ve ever visited, and I visited many.

Tiramisu and pizza in the middle of Barcelona… fantastic. It’s not just the food, but the feeling of eatin it in that place. Something Sheakspearian, to me.
Burers in Bacoa are a different story. It’s a straight, down to earth burger joint. There are several of those in Barcelona, but I recommend one, as a matter of fact

The toppings and the flavours of the burgers are surprisingly wholesome and natural, despite it being, well, burgers.
