Cutting’s: this business was born in La Boqueria market in Barcelona selling fresh fruit to tourists and locals who came to this location. Then they were suppliers of fruit and vegetables in the Olympics and today they already earn 38 million euros per year and has 80 employees. Their secret is that they sell a product that is fashionable: fresh cut fruit, in stalls on the street, on the beach, in supermarkets and in all tourist areas.
Bebitus: is an online store that sells baby items throughout Spain and has achieved an investment of one million euros recently from CM investors, Gil Molins family. In 2012 their turnover was 650,000 euros and they are trying to expand into southern Europe.
Martinfit: two childhood friends (Sergi Fité and Edgar Martinez) decided to quit their jobs as engineers to open an online business that sells tailor made suits once the client has chosen the fabric, the model and measurements. The customer profile is a person who can not afford a conventional tailor who usually receives more than 1000 euros per suit.
Led Tech Ibérica: This company is only 3 years old but has already established itself as the first Spanish led lighting franchise in Europe. They have chosen their own production line and are committed to the environment (LEDs are recyclable, free from mercury, represent savings of up to 70%, and last between 10 and 15 years).
Sit Mobile: since 2001 this company is dedicated to buy SMS packages, but with the collapse of the use of this type of communication, now they also generate other types of notifications (internal corporate chats, for example), which means reducing the billing but improve the benefits.
Iguana: the company intends to bring the optical fiber to Igualada and to other rural areas allowing an area with very poor signal to be connected to a high speed Internet. The secret of its expansion is that people recommend it to each other, not advertising, because their investment has been really low (300,000 euros) and the project comes from a nonprofit initiative called Iglú.
