Pet-friendly places in Poble Sec

Written by Christine

Having a pet is very rewarding since you get to experience the kind of friendship that only exists between humans and animals. While it’s normal to want to take your pet with you everywhere, some places in Barcelona are more accepting or furry friends than others. Poble Sec is a beautiful neighborhood in Barcelona to live and rent, where you can find many establishments that welcome patrons with two or four legs.

Since Poble Sec is in an area of Barcelona that draws in tourists and visitors, there is a wide range of hotels to choose from when staying here. More and more are becoming pet-friendly, for example, the Hotel Paral⋅lel, which allows small pets on the premises. This hotel is known for being the most pet-accepting in Poble Sec and also in Barcelona in general. Your pet will feel totally at home here as the hotel is equipped with amenities to serve small animals. Most of the hotels in Poble Sec have the same policy or similar, allowing small pets to stay in rooms with the owners for a small fee in case extra cleaning is needed upon checkout. With many hotels in the area you can be sure to find one that best suits you and your pet.

Restaurants

Most restaurants and pubs have no problem if you bring your dog with you to hang outside on the terrace or even accompany you inside. Most bar and restaurant owners will welcome your dog to dine with you outside as long as you have a leash to be able to put on your dog for safety reasons. Even so, it’s best to know beforehand where your pet will be welcome and the policy on bringing animals into the restaurant. Gran Bodega Saltó is a neighborhood bar and winery that gives Poble Sec a taste of delicious wines and adds local color. Dogs are welcomed here on a leash to join their human friends as they enjoy a glass of wine.
