Where to buy earmuffs in Barcelona

Written by Thompson Crowley

Barcelona has an extremely pleasant weather, and if you’re visiting in the summer months you’ll experience the best of it. Most days are very sunny, with an average temperature of 28°C throughout June, July and August. But not far from the city stands the Pyrenees mountain range, where temperatures are much lower, sometimes falling as far as -15°C in winter. So, if you’re planning on taking a hiking trip up there, or visiting one of the ski resorts, you’ll want to be properly prepared.

There is a variety of clothing and accessories available to keep you warm when temperatures are low, like hats, scarfs, coats, long johns, and vests. But it’s also important to keep your ears warm; they have a large surface area and stand out in a vulnerable position. Having a pair of earmuffs at hand is always a good idea. And they also work great for noise reduction, should you need some relief from the noisy city.

Here are our top 3 places to buy earmuffs in Barcelona.

Decathlon

There are two Decathlon shops in Barcelona: one is on Av. Diagonal, close to Maria Christina metro station; the other is on Carrer de la Canuda, in the Gothic quarter. Both have a variety of sporting goods on sale, and everything is very reasonably priced. Earbmuffs start from as low as 5, plus they have some other thermal clothing, such as scarfs and gloves.

Benitosports

There are also two Benitosports in Barcelona: one is on Rambla de Catalunya, near the Passeig de Gracia train station; the other is on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, in Sant Antoni. The products here are a little more expensive than Decathlon, but you’re paying for quality. They too stock a variety of skiing products, including earmuffs, as well as other thermals.

Here they have everything to do with skiing, from clothing and accessories, to the actual skis themselves. They stock a variety of earmuffs, for both men and women. The staff is very knowledgeable and keen to assist. The prices too are very reasonable, and it is an easy store to navigate.
