Saint Patrick is one of the most famous festivals in the world, starting with Ireland itself, but also in all the countries in which there are descendants of Irish people or expats from Ireland. This is the case, for example, in the United States, one of the countries with the most Irish descendants in the world. According to the legend, it all started with the explanation given by Saint Patrick, about what the Holy Trinity was. In order for the whole world to understand it in a simple and didactic way, the saint used a shamrock with three leaves, indicating that each of the leaves symbolized the three entities of the Most Holy Trinity; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. St. Patrick further explained to devotees that, although it is a single clover, there are three entities in it. In Spain San Patricio is patron of the city of Murcia and the town of Albuñol in Granada. In addition to this, in Barcelona Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated in many of the Irish pubs and bars in the Catalan capital.
