One of the most exciting cities in the world, Barcelona is the perfect place for singles to meet a special someone at one of its many incredible bars across the city.

It’s never been more fun to be single or easier to meet like-minded people who might become your other half. Here is our selection of best bars for singles.

Rubi Bar is a wonderful little a place that deserves to be discovered.

Despite being small in size it is an absolute goldmine when it comes to singles on a night out!

Located in the heart of the bustling Born, this bar is always packed with singles at the weekends due to its incredible selection of home-infused gins which they serve with unique flavour combinations alongside cheap mojitos.

Location: Carrer dels Banys Vells, 6

If you’re looking for a hint of hipster and something that is slightly off the beaten track then 33/45 is for you.

It has a really laidback, cool and cosy vibe with its bar serving up tasty cocktails and craft beers.

The drinks don’t break the bank (5 euros a cocktail!) so it often gets packed in the evenings with a young crowd, making it a great setting to meet that someone special!

Location: Carrer de Joaquín Costa, 4 in Raval’s neighborhood.

La Terrrazza

Although strictly more of a nightclub than a bar, La Terrrazza is a must for any singles in the city looking for love this summer.

It was one of the very first clubs in the city to take partying outside with its stunning Ibiza-inspired terrace serving up house music alongside drinks all night long.

Location:  Av. Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, in Sants Montjuïc district.

Run by a family of mixologists, Solange is the ideal way to start off a singles night out in a sleek setting.

The golden interiors feature vintage sofas and a stunning wooden bar, which delivers classic cocktails with a flourish.

Here, you will be sure to meet a potential love interest to sip on some cocktails together and while the night away in style.

Location: Carrer d’Aribau, 143 in the Eixample’s district.

El Paraigua

Tucked away behind Plaça de Sant Jaume is El Paraigua, a singles haven.

Make your way downstairs to find an amazing, spacious bar with plush sofas, and room to stand, drink, talk and dance the night away with a live music stage.

The bar also serves up some seriously strong cocktails – including whisky sour with absinthe.

Location: Pas de l’Ensenyança, 2 in the Born neighborhood.

  • Hi Sophie Great Artcles!
I’m travelling solo to Barcelona. And really need to know a couple of pointers.
Where to meet eligible professional single men. Any ideas I know it’s a tough topic. But any advice. Lourdes

  • Hello Sophie, my name is Alex and I am going to Barcelona in march of 2018 to spend a week there with my sister as she studies abroad. I am 24 and single and want to know some tips for my trip. My sister will be with several of her friends but tbh I know I will only be there a week, I want to meet a lady in Barcelona that will take me away from the awful US attitude that many girls from the usa have. what to do??

  • Evening Sophie,
I’ll be traveling to Barcelona at the end of April and was curious if Ibiza would be worth a trip that time of year. Also any roof top bars with a view and your favorite sunday brunch spot in Barcelona. Thank you
