Barcelona is well-known for being popular with young adults looking for an exciting vacation. There are so many attractions here that lure people over from various destinations around the world. But the city isn’t all about partying and glamour, it is also very family-friendly. There are plenty of fun activities to entertain both children and their parents.

Barcelona Zoo

Barcelona Zoo is situated in Parc de la Ciutadella, close to Arc de Triomf. The grounds cover a vast 32 acres which are home to many different animals, such as primates, reptiles, birds, fish and sea mammals. There are over 7,000 different animals live within the enclosure! They also run many educational programs, teaching children all about the various species. One of the most popular exhibits is the daily dolphin show. There is also a petting zoo for children, containing a variety of farm animals. There really is a lot to see!

After you have finished your visit to the zoo, why not check out Parc de Ciutadella? It has a beautiful grounds, with many attractions such as the lake, where you can rent out rowing boats.

Barcelona Aquarium

Barcelona Aquarium is located in the Port Vell area, just a short walk from La Rambla. It truly is a spectacular place to visit. If you have a passion for the underwater world, you’ll be in heaven! Tibidabo Amusement Park is a 100-year-old theme park, set overlooking the city. It is in fact, one of the oldest theme parks in the world! It has 25 rides, such as roller coasters, water chutes, and simulators, as well as a skywalk which takes you right around the Collserola mountain, giving you an excellent view of the city beneath. Within the grounds are a couple of restaurants and picnic areas. It really is a great place to spend the day.
