The end of summer normally makes the city of Barcelona slow down a bit, with a less inviting weather, with a smaller number of outdoor events and people staying home more. Just when you think things are cooling down, though, you’re in for a treat.
This October 6-9, the temperatures in the city will rise again when the Vall d’Hebron Pavilion hosts the 2016 edition of Salón Erótico de Barcelona, the most famous erotic fair in all of Europe.

Organized by FICEB (Barcelona International Erotic Film Festival), this erotic fair is a unique event that spices up life in the city for a few days every year. It serves as an international meeting point for porn and eroticism professionals from all over the world, with both the biggest and smaller companies in the business being represented. It’s a showcase of everything that relates in some way to the erotic culture, from the most innocent nude portraits to the kinkiest of fetishes.
This being a celebration of an industry that is still pretty much a taboo for society in general, you can expect a progressive atmosphere when it comes to sexuality. This means that the environment is friendly for people of all sexual orientations. You’ll also find places dedicated to BDSM, swinging and all sorts of erotic fetishes and practices.
When visiting Salón Erótico de Barcelona 2016, you’ll have the opportunity to see art exhibitions, pornographic cinema, live shows, conferences and debates concerning sexuality and eroticism, along with many other activities spread out over the 4 days of the event. To get there by metro, you can use either the green (L3) or blue (L5) lines. Exit at Montbau and Vall d’Hebron, respectively. If you’d rather take the bus, numbers V21, 17, 19, 27, 60, 73, 76, 112, 112, 119, 185 and N4 will all get you there.
