Gran Via de las Cortes Catalanes or Gran Via for short, is one of the most important roads in Barcelona, spanning over 13km across the city. If you take a long drive in Gran Via, you will be able to spot four of the most famous plazas in the city, Plaza de España, Plaza de la Universitat, Plaza de Tetuán, and Plaza de las Glorias Catalanas. You will also find a variety of places to visit, plenty of shops, and a number of great restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat.

Casa Varela prides itself on being the small jewel in the area. This relatively unknown restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but the standard and quality of food is absolutely outstanding.
