There is a myriad yoga retreats to be found around Spain. It offers a perfect way to escape the fast pace and stresses of life, to slow down, reconnect with your inner self, feel empowered and inspired. Yogaroom Barcelona is organising a five-day immersive yoga getaway from 11th – 15th May. Five days seems a good amount of time to connect, or indeed reconnect, with your physical, emotional and spiritual self and leave rejuvenated and empowered.

Daily yoga and meditation sessions, aiming for enhanced inner-connectedness and improved physical, emotional and spiritual wellness, form the core of this retreat. This retreat is open and suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced, with everyone having the opportunity to be guided and challenged within their own personal limits.
During the treat, you also have an opportunity to participate in highly-transformative elemental yoga flow workshops inspired by Ayurdevic medicine and the 5 elements: earth, water, fire, air and ether. The aim is to balance your doshas, those being types of energies believed to circulate in the body and govern physiological activity, affecting temperament and physical constitution.
Situated in the Alt Penedes, a region close to Barcelona, famous for its cava and characterised by its many vineyards, you are guaranteed an idyllic setting where you will not only connect with yourself, but also with the surrounding nature. The venue itself is a completely renovated Catalan farmhouse, dating over 150 years, positioned in the middle of the vineyards and palm trees near Sant Martí Sarroca (50 minutes from Barcelona). From the garden of the house you can enjoy the roaming landscape of Vilafranca and the Torres de Foix forest on one side, and the castle of Sant Marti with its historic chapel on the other. Tranquil and uplifting are how they describe it and a decent amount of free time is scheduled into the retreat, so that those who wish to can enjoy a variety of cultural and outdoor activities, such as nature walks, horse riding and wine tasting. For the less adventurously inclined, you can stay relaxed in the house grounds, which offers sunbeds by the pool, a sauna and a Jacuzzi. You can also sign up for a body massage. I suppose they haven’t called it the Magical Bliss Yoga Retreat for nothing.
The comfortable, luxurious house, spread over two floors is fully equipped and has ample space accommodating for groups in separate beds or rooms. There is also has a chill out terrace on the roof from which to take in wonderful views of the vineyards of Penedes. You might not want to leave!
During your stay you will be well fed with fresh seasonaly and locally grown produce. You can expect a variety of tasty meals, covering Spanish, Catalan, Italian, Greek, Moroccan, Indian and Indonesian dishes.
