Nightlife In Barcelona

The first thing you’ll learn after spending even one day in Barcelona is that this city like most in Spain doesn’t sleep.

Not only do the Spanish tend to eat meals later in the evening but also tend to go out and enjoy themselves much later as well.

So at the weekend do not be too surprised when you turn up at a nightclub at 1.00 am to find it still pretty empty, none of them really get going until around 6.00 am.

1. Magic Club

This is to be found in the area of Barcelona known as El Born neighborhood. If you’re not into techno then head over here as this plays some really great indie music instead.

However, at the weekends you’ll find it is a favourite spot for many as it plays lots of 80’s pop, soft rock and the disco classics.

2. Marula Café

You’ll find this particular nightclub in the city’s Gothic Quarter, and as become a welcome addition to Barcelona’s club scene.

This is one of the smaller clubs as it only has room for 400 people.

Not only does it offer opportunities to local DJ’s to strut their stuff but also arranges for international DJ’s to ply their trade as well.

3. BLVD (Boulevard)

Located in El Raval this is one of the city’s most central nightclubs as it is in fact situated right in the centre of the area of the city known as Las Ramblas.

Not only is it a favourite spot for tourists but is also one that many residents of Barcelona like to hang out at.

4. Razzmatazz

This is known as Barcelona’s one and only super club and is situated in a part of the city known as Poblenou.

It actually is made up of five different clubs inside, so you are sure to find something within its walls that meets your particular music tastes.
