Sala Apolo is an iconic venue in Barcelona, one of the most popular concert halls and nightclubs in the city. Always on the go, Sala Apolo has a rich weekly programming that includes massive rock and roll parties, live acts, DJs, alternative music, jazz, swing, music from 70’s up to the 2000’s and all the latest hits. A great supporter of the music scene, Sala Apolo is one of the venues that receives concerts during the major music festival Primavera Sound. This year, Sala Apolo has created an initiative meant to pump some gas into the non-professional musical scene. Bala Perduda (lost bullet) is the name of the battle of the bands created by Sala Apolo, who wants to offer newcomers a way to break into the music business. ShBarcelona will tell you all about it!

Bala Perduda’s reception period starts on the beginning of November and remains open until the 15th of December. There are only 18 spots. The selected bands will play at Sala Apolo in a total of six concerts. At each concert there will be three bands fighting to rise to the next level. There will be only one winning band at the end of each concert, and that band will go straight to the finals. This means there will be six finalists facing each other on an epic band battle, from which two winners will arise.

Fifty percent of the score will be decided by the audience, using a smartphone app created specifically for Bala Perduda, and the other fifty percent will be decided by a jury formed by people who are directly involved in the music business, like artists, festival organizers, record labels representatives, etc. If you plan to be in the audience, don’t forget to cast your vote. You will get a free beer for it!

The band that wins the Grand Final will automatically get a gig at Primavera Sound Festival 2019, the opportunity to record at Aclam Records professional studio with HitMAkers Mastering mastering service, and a live gig at BTV Feeel tv show.
