If the open sea doesn’t appeal to you too much, there is also the option to try kayaking in the Catalan Olympic Canal in Castelldefels. Constructed for the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, the stretch of relatively still water is perfect if you feel like a little practicing kayaking before tackling your first wave!
