Cruetly-Free Cosmetics

There is a growing number of people with ethical concerns regarding their purchases. One of the areas that raises the most issues is the cosmetics area, due to the fact that, for many years, animal testing was considered legal. Although there is now a new law banning the selling of animal tested cosmetics in Europe, there are stores that have been selling cruelty-free products from the start.

Here are some of Barcelona’s cruelty-free cosmetic stores:

The Living Stone

The Living Stone is a store that specializes in natural body products created using vegetable oils and natural essences. Their natural cosmetics come in bottles made with recycled glass.

The store sells products like bath oils, home essences, colognes, body and face creams and bath salts. It also offers a massage service performed with the use of their products.

The Living Stone is located at Carrer Petritxol, 4. The best way to get there is by using the green line (L3) of the subway, exiting at Liceu.

Adonia

Adonia works with more than 50 brands, selling more than 2,200 certified natural cosmetic products. The store sells perfumes, makeup, family products, hair products, solar products and products designed for face and body. There are two Adonia stores in Barcelona, one at Carrer de Balmes, 85 and one at Tavessera de Gràcia 157.

To get to the store in Balmes, take the green (L3) or yellow (L4) line of the subway, exiting at Passeig de Gràcia. To get to the store at Travessera de Gràcia, take the green line (L3), exiting at Fontana.
