Artisanal Barcelona Beers

If you are one of those people who enjoys trying beers from all over the world, Barcelona is the place for you. The enormous mix of cultures residing in Barcelona makes it easy to find all sorts of food and beverages from various different countries.

Piris Barcelona

Piris Barcelona is a company owned by journalist Miquel Piris, who joined with Institut de la Carvesa Artesana and master brewer Daniel Fermún to create a collection of artisanal beers. Piris Barcelona’s unique and original flavored-beers include:

Piris Belgian Rye Fruit American Pale Ale (Citrus and Mango taste)

Piris Blancheberry Mallorca (Blackberry taste)

Resin Old School IPA (wooden/herbal taste)

American Red IPA (caramelized malt taste)

Fort

Fort is another one of the companies that produce artisanal beer in Barcelona.

The company offers six different beers:

Fort Daurada Pampera – a soft and balanced blonde beer with Pilsen and Munich malt, providing a creamy texture that contrasts with its citric taste.

Fort Oatmeal Porter – a floral bitter beer with four different hops and a touch of hazelnut.

Fort Amber Ale – a combination of caramelized malts and bitter hops, with touches of red fruits, berries and caramel.

Fort American Pale Ale – a light-colored ale with American and European hops and exotic fruit aroma.

Fort Barcelona Pale Ale – a lightly bitter ale with a soft citrus taste and honey aroma.

Fort Indian Pale Ale – a tasty, complete beer with a pronounced floral, mango and watermelon taste.

Barcelona Beer Company

Barcelona Beer Company presents itself as “Barcelona’s genuine craft brewery”, producing beer with no additives, using the finest malts, hops, yeast and the purest water from the Montseny Nature Reserve: Font de Regás Mineral Water.

The company produces four different beers:

Barcelona Beer is a pale ale beer created with a combination of the finest malts.

Big Bear’s label features Frank, the vegetarian bear, who is sick of seeing people drink bad beer, and decides to come out of his cave to fight against low-quality beer.

Big Bear as a classic Pale Ale-style beer.

La Bella Lolla is the softest choice produced by the company, a blonde craft beer made with malts from Baviera and Bohemia.

Cerdos Voladores is the strongest beer produced by the company, whose bottle features fun-loving cartoon pigs with wings.
