At age ten, she began her studies in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/jazz-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>jazz<\/strong><\/a> music at the <a href=\"http:\/\/ajuntament.barcelona.cat\/escolesmusica\/ca\/emmsantandreu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Municipal School of Music of Sant Andreu<\/a>\u00a0where her teacher, Joan Chamorro, recognized her great talent and recruited her for his own band, the <strong>Sant Andreu Jazz Band<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During her years with the band, Motis recorded eight discs before releasing her first ever solo album, <strong><em>Emotional Dance<\/em><\/strong>, on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.impulse-label.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Impulse! Records<\/strong><\/a> in\u00a02017. The album features both her <strong>trumpet<\/strong> playing and\u00a0<strong>singing <\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>represents her dynamic abilities as a musician. The album represents her natural evolution as an artist after so many years working with Chamorro. It&#8217;s both an extension of her work with the <strong>Sant Andreu Jazz Band<\/strong> and a powerful entrance onto the solo stage, exhibiting her talents as both a musician and <strong>composer<\/strong>.
