Located inside the world famous\u00a0<strong>Palau Nacional<\/strong> on<strong> Montju\u00efc <\/strong>mountain, the\u00a0<strong>museum<\/strong> is a celebration of Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, and contemporary visions. But it&#8217;s not all about the art at this museum. There are two viewpoints on the <strong>MNAC<\/strong> rooftop that allow for panoramic, 360-degree views of Barcelona. This means you can see the downtown, standing monuments, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sagradafamilia.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Sagrada Fam\u00edlia<\/a>, the <strong>Magic Fountain<\/strong>,\u00a0and the surrounding buildings that were part of the Olympic Village. The 1881\u00a0Per Sagardi\u00a0bar is open only in the summertime on weekends, public holidays, and after hours when the museum closes, while the <strong>terrace<\/strong> remains open for more <strong>panoramic views<\/strong> at night.\u00a0Its cabanas provide a lot of shade to cover visitors on those hot summer nights and its Caribbean-themed plants provide viewers a more tropical feel while overlooking <b>Pla\u00e7a d&#8217;Espanya\u00a0<\/b>and staring out over the rest of the city.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Opening_times\"><\/span>Opening times<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div id=\"attachment_91639\" style=\"width: 284px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-91639\" class=\" wp-image-91639\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/montjuic-821668_1280-300x204.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"274\" height=\"186\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-91639\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo via Pixabay<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rooftop access comes with the general <strong>MNAC<\/strong> admission or <strong>Rooftop Viewpoint<\/strong> admission; entry is through the side door of the main fa\u00e7ade. Now until April, from Tuesday to Saturday, it&#8217;s open from 10 am to 6 pm, while it also opens on Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 3 pm. In the summer, from May to September, it opens from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 11 pm and on Sundays and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/bank-holidays-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">public holidays<\/a> from 10 am to 4 pm. It&#8217;s closed every Monday except on public holidays and it always closes on New Years Day, the 1st of May, and Christmas Day. Come for a drink on a summer night and you will see Barcelona at its most magical. You can&#8217;t get a <strong>view<\/strong> like this anywhere else in the city.
