And no wonder! Barcelona has so much to offer its visitors and inhabitants that it\u00a0is easy to understand why people fall in love with the city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you have been to Barcelona before, if you read the touristic guides or if you have been living in Barcelona for a while, you probably already know about the most famous attractions. Designed by\u00a0<strong>Llu\u00eds Domenech i Montaner<\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong>hospital<\/strong> was built at the beginning of the 1900s, being inaugurated in 1930.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Many years later, in 2009,\u00a0<strong>Hospital de Santa Creu I Pau\u00a0<\/strong>inaugurated new, more modern installations, which allowed them to better serve their patients. But it was during the remodeling process of the building that a treasure was discovered: the original\u00a0<strong>Art Noveau<\/strong> creation by <strong>Domenech i Montaner<\/strong>, which had been covered in plaster when the\u00a0<strong>hospital<\/strong> had gone through modification works throughout the years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since its discovery, the wing of the\u00a0<strong>hospital<\/strong> which features the architect&#8217;s work was declared a Historical Artistic\u00a0Monument and a World\u00a0Heritage Site by UNESCO, and it was opened to the public, who can now visit it for a fee, as<a href=\"https:\/\/www.santpaubarcelona.org\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" class=\"broken_link\">\u00a0<strong>Sant Pau Recinte Modernista<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Prices:<\/strong>\u00a0Self-guided visit &#8211; 13\u20ac, Guided visit &#8211; 19\u20ac. Named after Spanish poet Miquel Costa i Llobera, the garden occupies an area of 6 acres, which features a variety of species of cacti from the sub-desert, desert, and tropical regions. The\u00a0<strong>Carmel Bunkers<\/strong>\u00a0were created as anti-aircraft batteries to be used during the Spanish Civil War, in 1937. They were built on top fo\u00a0<strong>Tur\u00f3 de la Rovira<\/strong>, a strategically high point in the city which allowed the soldiers to see enemies from very far away.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Despite the fact that the original <strong>bunkers<\/strong> were destroyed and that only ruins remain, this is still one of the only points in Barcelona where you can have a 360-degree view of Barcelona.
