Born in 1923 to a wealthy family, he was a lover of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/art-galleries-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art<\/a> and literature from a young age. He drew inspiration from fellow <strong>Catalan artist<\/strong> <strong>Joan Mir\u00f3<\/strong>, who was also interested in the magic of <strong>expression through art<\/strong>. To get a taste of his work or to know more about <strong>contemporary art<\/strong>, you should pay a visit to <strong>The Fundaci\u00f3 Antoni T\u00e0pies<\/strong>, which was created by the artist himself in 1984. The foundation&#8217;s purpose is to promote the study and appreciation of<strong> modern art<\/strong>. Born in Figueres, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/dali\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dal\u00ed<\/a> studied and worked abroad before returning to Catalonia and setting up his residence and studio in Cadaqu\u00e9s. He lived there for many years, creating the house that now serves as a museum of his life and work. While samples of <strong>Dal\u00ed&#8217;s paintings<\/strong> can be seen in <strong>museums<\/strong> across Barcelona, true fans should take a trip up the Costa Brava to see the Cadaqu\u00e9s house or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/dali-museum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">museum that Dal\u00ed himself designed<\/a> in Figueres.
