Although they are based in Barcelona, their operations cover a large number of countries, with the brand being present in Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Moldova and Morocco. In addition to the <strong>distribution of natural gas<\/strong>, they also generate and commercialize <strong>electricity<\/strong> in Spain and some other countries. With close to 10 million clients and over 6,500 employees, this is no small company \u2013 and they wanted a building that reflected exactly that.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Building\"><\/span>The Building<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Projected by the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/important-catalan-architects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">architect<\/a> duo<\/strong> of <strong>Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue<\/strong>, <strong>Gas Natural<\/strong>\u2019s impressive building was inaugurated in 2008. Located in the Barcelona neighbourhood of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.pt\/maps\/place\/Gas+Natural+Fenosa\/@41.3832007,2.1882925,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x12a4a306c4e65d59:0x5c0e886926a392e8!8m2!3d41.3832007!4d2.1904812\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>Barceloneta<\/strong><\/a>, by the city\u2019s seafront, it\u2019s innovative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/study-design-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>design<\/strong><\/a> allows it to simultaneously stand out and blend into its surroundings.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_79991\" style=\"width: 226px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-79991\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-79991\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/4082107215_0b69d2646a_z-216x300.jpg\" alt=\"Photo by andresumida via Visualhunt\" width=\"216\" height=\"300\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-79991\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo by andresumida via Visualhunt<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An enormous, unconventionally shaped <strong>glass tower<\/strong> that quickly became a reference point in its area of the city, it was imagined as a symbol of <strong>sustainability<\/strong>, a company value that is evident once we notice the many <strong>solar panels<\/strong> that cover its lowest sections.
