think about verifying whether your chosen accommodation is situated in an apartment with a lift and access ramp if necessary, or else look out for apartments situated on the <em>planta baja\u00a0<\/em>(ground floor).<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Public_transportation\"><\/span>Public transportation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another important consideration is <strong>public transportation.\u00a0<\/strong>It will make your life much easier if you choose an apartment or hotel located close to a <strong>bus or<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>metro station. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Metro: Barcelona<\/strong>&#8216;s\u00a0<strong>metro\u00a0<\/strong>service is especially well planned, allowing you to get almost anywhere in the city in a quick and inexpensive way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Bus:\u00a0<\/strong>The <strong>bus<\/strong> is equally practical but services are not so frequent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Taxi:\u00a0<\/strong>If you take a <strong>taxi,<\/strong> bear in mind that if you pre-book a journey, the counter should not start until you get into the vehicle, as the driver cannot charge you for the journey from his position to yours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Touristic bus:<\/strong> a little more comfortable than the public bus service if you wish to see the sights by road, the <a href=\"https:\/\/shbarcelona.barcelona.ticketbar.eu\/en\/attractions\/barcelona-hop-on-hop-off-bus-\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Bus Tur\u00edstic<\/strong><\/a> allows you to travel easily from one place to another.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are a number of means of <strong>transportation adapted for those with limited mobility. <\/strong>You can find more information about it\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmb.cat\/en\/barcelona\/accessibility-mobility-reduced\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the centre, the narrow streets are best explored on foot, as this will enable you to discover the true charm of the city. If you find yourself in a difficult hilly area, such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shbarcelona.barcelona.ticketbar.eu\/en\/guided-walking-tours\/montjuic-guided-walking-tour-\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Montju\u00efc<\/a>,<\/strong> you can hire a wheelchair. The walkways are adapted to wheelchairs thanks to the dropped curbs at pedestrian crossings. We would advise you to check your itinerary to avoid the steepest climbs. For example: if you want to go to <a href=\"https:\/\/shbarcelona.barcelona.ticketbar.eu\/en\/attractions\/park-guell-skip-the-line-tickets-\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Park G\u00fcell<\/strong><\/a>, exit at Vallcarca station rather than Lesseps, which is the next station on <strong>metro L3 towards Trinitat Nova<\/strong>. The air humidity also contributes to a feeling of oppressive heat. This can become unbearable and it is important to rehydrate regularly. Preferably ascend the heights via funicular (from Paral.lel metro station), by bus or by taxi in order to avoid a steep climb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Barcelona<\/strong> is situated at the heart of a region with a <strong>rich cultural heritage<\/strong>. You can walk in the footsteps of Dal\u00ed, discover traditional villages, explore the beaches of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/sitges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sitges<\/a>,<\/strong> for example, or perhaps visit the vineyards of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/tarragona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tarragona<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The city of <strong>Gaud\u00ed<\/strong> is also a city where <strong>music<\/strong> holds an important place.
