They would be able to enjoy a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/the-5-best-views-of-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">beautiful view<\/a> of Barcelona from a quiet area in the city. The plan was to build\u00a0a <strong>garden<\/strong> on Carmel\u00a0hill. This was an\u00a0ideal place to build no less than\u00a0sixty houses. However, only two houses and the <strong>park<\/strong> could be built\u00a0for economic reasons. One of the houses was the <strong>architect<\/strong>&#8216;s home. The city of Barcelona became <strong>Park G\u00fcell&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a0owner in 1923 and the park became a World Heritage site.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_cultural_walk\"><\/span>A cultural walk<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Park G\u00fcell<\/strong>\u00a0is a 20 hectares garden showcasing the famous Catalan architect&#8217;s imagination. Take a moment to enjoy the\u00a0<strong>beautiful panorama<\/strong> of the city once you reach the top, and listen to\u00a0the cicadas song along the way. When you walk\u00a0through the <strong>park<\/strong>, you will realize how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/gaudis-architecture-in-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Gaud\u00ed&#8217;s work<\/strong><\/a> reveals an architectural precision and sensitivity for nature.\u00a0You can admire the different views but also see\u00a0<strong>Gaud\u00ed<\/strong>&#8216;s achievements by taking different paths, such as <em>&#8220;The\u00a0100 columns room&#8221;<\/em>. Those\u00a0columns are supporting the <strong>garden<\/strong> and are \u00a0engraved with mythological and religious inscriptions. There is also <em>&#8220;The undulating bench&#8221;,\u00a0<\/em>very original and made of colourful mosaics. It bypasses the\u00a0<strong>Park<\/strong>\u00a0terrace with its many curves.
