Almost every day of the month different workshops take place focusing on specific skills or aspects of sewing that will help you learn the basics or take on more advanced projects. If you&#8217;ve never sewed before, don&#8217;t worry. There are classes designed for total beginners, in which you will learn how to use a sewing machine or how to complete your first <strong>patchwork<\/strong> by hand. The majority of the sewing classes cost \u20ac50 for the entire course and meet for 2 hours in the afternoons once a week for about 4 months. In addition to the basic classes like learning your way around a sewing machine and knitting, you can take specific courses to design your own hats, lingerie, swimsuits, and more. The shop itself technically closed in 2011, but the owner and teachers continue giving courses at various civic centers throughout the city and continue the same as before. The instructors offer classes and workshops to cover the basics of sewing and to spread the knowledge and fun of <strong>handicrafts<\/strong> and creating something yourself. Of the current courses that are currently underway, most meet for 2-hour sessions, either for 4 weeks or 8 weeks. You can learn how to embroider, monogram, and clothes hampers to brighten up things around the home or to create unique gifts for friends and family.
