Once a hidden gem, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Can-Paixano-La-Xampanyeria\/182447565105446\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Can Paixano<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is now completely packed, day in, day out. This cava bar in the back streets of Barceloneta is my favourite place in the whole of the city. It is<strong> small, unpretentious and absolutely charming<\/strong>. The house cava is delicious, especially the \u2018rosato\u2019, and criminally inexpensive \u2013 around \u20ac5 for a bottle. You must order food with your drink and why wouldn\u2019t you, their food \u2013 a range of simple bocadillos, croquettes and sausage plates \u2013 is fantastic. As it gets so packed (the tourists have well and truly discovered it I\u2019m afraid), I like visiting for a late breakfast. And what a breakfast it is: a jamon y queso bocadillo, served piping hot, and a glass of bubbly pink joy to wash it down. Shout over the bar that you\u2019d like a table and they will add you to their \u2018I\u2019ve taken a mental photo of you face\u2019 queue. Sip one of their <strong>many cavas<\/strong> and try one of their cold pintxos or tapas while you wait (the tuna with leeks is particularly special). Once seated, more cava should accompany their great selection of hearty but delicate tapas, which are both traditional and imaginative at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"El_Rincon_de_Cava\"><\/span><strong>El Rincon de Cava<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One can\u2019t imagine cava coming any cheaper than it does at Can Paixano but it does! Head to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/El-Rincon-DEL-CAVA-265360913605406\/?rf=204483862897035\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Rincon de Cava<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (The Cava Corner) in an unassuming street in Poble Sec for good cava for around \u20ac0.85 a glass and and \u20ac4 a bottle.
