However, this <strong>arts center<\/strong> also contains some hidden gems, such as its small, hip library and, even lesser known, its <strong>lookout point<\/strong>. Once you step\u00a0into the space, you will be surrounded by glass walls that offer unparalleled views of the neighborhood. In addition to the landscape of\u00a0Raval, the viewpoint extends out to the\u00a0<span class=\"removed_link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/national-art-museum-of-catalonia\/\">Museu Nacional d&#8217;Art de Catalunya<\/span> in Pla\u00e7a de Espanya, the hills of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/montjuic\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mont Ju\u00efc<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/catedral-eulalia\/\" target=\"_blank\">Barcelona Cathedral in Gotico<\/a>, and the Mediterranean Sea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wrapping around the walls are\u00a0comfortable benches with cushions upon which you can sit and contemplate the views- or even spend the afternoon there drawing, writing in your journal, reading a book, etc. When I went last month, they were also playing a video in the center of the room that discussed Barcelona&#8217;s history.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Important_Details\"><\/span>Important Details<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div id=\"attachment_67467\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/cccb-glass-building.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-67467\" class=\"wp-image-67467 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/cccb-glass-building-300x221.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"221\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-67467\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The part of the glass building that juts out at the top is the Mirador<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Normally, the highest floor of the CCCB is <strong>reserved for private events<\/strong> such as\u00a0workshops, debates, presentations and receptions- which thus\u00a0have to be booked and paid for in advance. However, if you remember to mark your calendar for the\u00a0<strong>first Sunday of each month<\/strong>, the Mirador is <strong>open to the public- free of charge<\/strong>. The hours are\u00a0from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CCCB is located at Carrer de Montalegre, 5, behind MACBA.
