Gasp in awe as you hang suspended high above the harbour. Take in the stunning and extensive views of the city below with a nod to Tibidabo in the distance. Stroll through the Jardins de Miramar to Estaci\u00f3 Park Montju\u00efc where you can pick up the Teleferic de Montju\u00efc to the <a style=\"line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"http:\/\/ajuntament.barcelona.cat\/castelldemontjuic\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Castell de Montju\u00efc <\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">for further breathtaking views over jaw-dropping heights. From there, the choices of what to do next are as many as the paths that wind down through the fragranced gardens: ascend the Castell tower for even more extensive views both of the city and out to sea; nature lovers may wish to visit the Botanical Gardens, or simply stroll along the Cam\u00ed del Mar; if art is more your thing, there\u2019s the Catalan National Art Museum and the <\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fmirobcn.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Fundaci\u00f3 Joan Mir\u00f3<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">; for the sport-minded, there\u2019s the iconic Olympic Stadium where the 1992 games were held. Descend towards the Pla\u00e7a Espanya and, if visiting on a weekend, see the Font M\u00e0gica in all its technicolour glory as it lights up after sunset.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tibidabo\"><\/span>Tibidabo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tibidabo takes its name from the Latin for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/tibidabo.jpg\"><img class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-67153\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/tibidabo-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"tibidabo\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a>\u2018(All this) I will give to you (if you bow down and worship me)\u2019 Satan\u2019s words of temptation to Christ according to Matthew\u2019s Gospel. Ascend the summit and you will understand the etymology, for all of Barcelona lies before you. The summit is best reached first via the Tramvia Blau (old-school electric streetcar-style tram) followed by the funicular railway. From the top station, you are in the realm of the clouds, but if your head for heights is not yet satisfied, ascend the tower of the Temple del Sagrat Cor by lift, and take the final steps to the feet of the Apostle \u2013 all this can be yours.
